The Present Simple Tense (timpul prezent simplu)

Present Simple Tense (timpul prezent simplu) se formeaz de la forma
verbului la infinitiv (infinitiv fr to). De exemplu, infinitiv cu to a
verbului a lucra sun to work ,iar infinitivul fr to sun work.
Pentru toate persoanele, n afar de persoana a treia singular forma
afirmativ a timpului prezent simplu sun work. Pentru persoana a
treia se adaug s.

Terminaia -s la persoana a treia singular poate avea diferite forme.
Dac verbul se termin cu vocala o continuarea va suna -es, ca n
exemplul verbului go care la persoana a treia singular sun goes, sau
verbul do, care la persoana a treia singular sun does.
Dac verbul se termin n -ch, -sh, -x, -ss, terminaia deasemenea
sun -es. De exemplu:
He teaches (teach - a preda).
She washes (wash - a spla).
He kisses (kiss - a sruta).
She fixes (fix - a repara).

Dac n fa este vocala -y ,nu sunt schimbri.

She plays (play - a se juca).

Excepie face verbul have (a avea) care la persoana a treia sun has.
Forma interogativ
Forma interogativ a verbului la Present Simple Tense se face de la
verbul auxiliar Do, respectiv Does (pentru persoana a treia singular) i
a formei de baz a verbului principal. Toate ntrebrile n limba
englez se mpart n ntrebrile Yes/No i Wh-. Yes/No nu au forma
interogativ i la ele se poate rspunde cu Da sau Nu. ntrebrile Whncep cu cuvntul interogativ, iar acestea sunt: when, what, why,
where, how, how much, how many...

1. Lucruri care se repet (obinuine,obiceiuri, rutine)
I get up at 6 oclock. - Eu m trezesc la ora 6.
She wears uniform at work. - Ea mbrac uniforma la lucru.
The English drink tea at 5 oclock in the afternoon. - Englezii
beau ceai la ora 5 dup amiaz.
n acest sens se pot folosi i adverbele i fraze pentru frecven

(cuvinte care arat ct de des se ntmpl lucrul). Acestea sunt:
always - ntotdeauna

usually - de obicei
often - des
sometimes - cteodat
never - niciodat
every day - n fiecare zi
every month - n fiecare lun
every year - n fiecare an etc.
once a year - o dat pe an
twice a day - de dou ori pe zi
three times a week -de trei ori pe sptmn etc.
Adverbele always, usually, often, sometimes, never vin naitea

verbului principal n forma afirmativ. Frazele every day, every
month, twice a year... cel mai des vin la sfritul propoziiei.
I always go to school at 8 oclock in the morning. - Eu merg
ntotdeauna la coal la ora 8 dimineaa.
She usually drinks tea in the evening. - Ea de obicei bea ceai
seara.
We never eat in the living room. - Noi nu mncm niciodat n
sufragerie.
2. Adevruri generale (ceva ce este ntotdeauna corect)

People change money in banks. - Oamenii schimb banii la
banc.
A day has 24 hours. - Ziua are 24 de ore.
The Earth goes around the Sun. - Pmntul se nvrte n jurul
Soarelui.
The Danube flows into the Black Sea. - Dunrea se vars n
Marea Neagr.

3. Caracteristicile subiectului:
He speaks English very well. - El vorbete bine engleza.
My sister plays the piano. - Soara mea cnt la pian.
Present Continuous Tense (timpul prezent continuu)

Present Continuous Tense (timpul prezent continuu) se face de la
verbul TO BE n timpul Prezent Simplu adic is /am /are + present
participle (participiu prezent) a verbului principal.
Participiul prezent se face atunci cnd la infinitiv se adaug
terminaia ing:
go going
sleep sleeping
work working
Dac verbul se termin cu o consoan, n faa creia st o vocal,

ultima consoan din faa ing se dubleaz. De exemplu:
hit a lovi
stop a se opri
permit a permite
begin a ncepe
particip: hitting
particip: stopping
particip: permitting
particip: beginning
l de la sfrsit ntotdeauna se dubleaz. De exemplu:

travel a cltori

Planurile legate de viitor:

sptmnii viitoare o voi vizita pe sora mea.
Verbele care nu se folosesc la timpul prezent continuu

Un numr de verbe nu poate fi utilizat cel mai des n timpuri continue:

smell a mirosi
remember a-i aminti

simplu.
