Managementul feminin

Curajul si ambitia sunt trasaturi definitorii


ale femeilor de afaceri sau a celor care ajung
in pozitii-cheie ale companiilor. Intr-o
socitetate mascunilizata femeia de afaceri
este expusa unei duble provocari: sa se
afirme profesional si in acelasi timp sa isi
pastreze feminitatea.
In atitudinea fata de concurenta se remarca
la femei o preponderenta a strategiilor
indirecte de competitie ele pun accent pe
calitate, simt estetic si in acest fel isi afirma
produsele companiei proprii sau pentru care
lucreaza, spre deosebire de barbati, care
prefera confruntarea face-to-face.
Studiile recente ale lui Daniel Goleman arata
ca inteligenta emotionala a managerilor si
angajatilor este tot mai mult un factor de
succes esential. Femeile iau mai mult in
considerare atmosfera emotionala a
companiei, calitatea relatiilor dintre angajati
si dintre angajati si conducere. Ele au un
radar foarte fin si simt imediat cand
atmosfera emotionala a companiei este
afectata si pot actiona in directia ameliorarii
climatului afectiv cu efecte directe asupra
productivitatii.
Femeile manager au o analiza mai atenta si
mai prudenta asupra riscurilor in afaceri,
inclusiv in negocieri, unde sunt mai vigilente,
dar si mai cooperante, comparativ cu
barbatii care lupta sa-si afirme suprematia.
De asemenea, studiile au aratat ca femeile
descifreaza mai rapid limbajul non verbal al
interlocutorului ceea ce le confera un
avantaj indubitabil in negociere.
In plus, femeile beneficiaza si de intuitie o
resursa insa putin cunoscuta si utilizata, la
fel ca inteligenta emotionala. Intuitia pe
confera avantajul flexibilitatii si creativitatii
in abordarea unei negocieri.

In timp ce barbatii sunt mai preocupati de


obiecte, au tendinta de a comanda si
controla, femeile sunt mai mult orientate
spre potentialul uman al afacerii, iar in
cultura organizatiilor conduse de femei
predomina valori de tipul: incredere,
colaborare, echipa, intelegere. Totodata,
femeile mai au un atu esential, desi
insuficient cunoscut si pus in practica, in
Romania cel putin inteligenta emotionala.
Desi nu sunt mai destepte decat barbatii in
aceasta privinta, femeile au totusi o mai
mare aplecare spre comunicare, factorii
motivvationali si gradul de satisfactie a
personalului din interiorul organizatiei care
devin din ce in ce mai mult ingredientele de
top ale reusitei unei afaceri.

Female management
Courage and ambition are defining traits of
businesswomen or those women who get to
key management positions. In a male
society, businesswomen face a double
challenge: to make a name for themselves
professionally and to retain their feminity.
When it comes to their attitude to
competition, women show a penchant for
indirect competition strategies they focus
on quality, aesthetics and thus promote the
products of their own company or the
company they work for; unlike men, who
prefer face-to-face confrontation.
Recent studies by Daniel Goleman show that
the emotional intelligence of managers and
employees is becoming a more essential
factor of success. Women tend to pay more
attention to the companys emotional mood,
the quality of relationships between
employees and between employees and the
management. They have a radar with
which they sense immediately when the
companys emotional mood is affected, and

are able to improve the climate with direct


effects on productivity.

flexibility and creativity when approaching a


negotiation.

Female managers take a more careful,


cautious decision when analyzing business
risks, including during negotiations, where
they are more vigilant and more cooperative,
as opposed to men who fight for their
supremacy. At the same time, studies have
also shown that women are able to decipher
their interlocutors non-verbal language
quicker, which gives them an unquestionable
advantage during negotiations.

While men are more concerned about


things, and try to command and control,
women are much more oriented toward
human potential of a business; the culture of
women-led organization is ruled by values
such as confidence, collaboration, team,
understanding. Also, women have another
untapped characteristic, although little
known in Romania emotional intelligence.
Even though they are not smarter than
men in this situation, women lean towards a
more communicative style, motivational
factors and have a sense of organizational
satisfaction traits that are rapidly becoming
the top ingredient of business success.

Moreover, women also benefit from their


intuition a resource which is known and
used as little as emotional intelligence.
Intuition gives them the advantage of
