An awesome holiday

Last year, in July I went to Budapest, Hungary, along

with my parents, my cousin and my aunts.

The journey from Bucharest to Budapest was very

long, but we stayed a night In Oradea, which is

close to Hungary, and there we had some really good

traditional dinner.

The following morning we just got up and ready for

the rest of the journey to Budapest. After around 2 hours

we arrived to the capital of Hungary, it looked so nice
with so many historic buildings and old architectural
bridges.
Then we arrived to our hotel, which was a magical
looking old monastery building, filled with bits of history.

After the arrival we ate a bit at the hotel restaurant

and after that we slept a bit in our room. Then we felt

full of energy so we decided to go on a walk to see

the beauties of Budapest, and we discovered a really

interesting island in the middle of Danube. The island

was called Margaret Island and it is a really big beautiful
park. You can get there by walking down a really old

historic bridge. I liked this island because it was

really lush and full of greenery, but it also had a big

musical fountain in the middle of the principal walkway.

After walking a bit in the park we got kind of hungry

so we bought some pretzels from a bakery, then we got

to the hotel because we were so sleepy after such a

long journey.
The next morning we went to the Buda castle which was
very far away from our hotel, but with a bit of luck we
made it in time. The castle gardens were so magical and
full of unique species of plants and it was full of statues.
After spending almost 5 hours in the castle we decided to
go shopping for souvenirs on the main walkway of the
historic centre. After shopping it was already dark
outside so we had to return to the hotel for sleeping.

The next morning we just had breakfast and immediately

after we drove to Bucharest, because the journey is really
long.

I really liked this weekend trip so I hope I will go to

Budapest
