Countable nouns and Uncountable nouns – substantive numarabile si substantive
nenumarabile Countable nouns ( substantivele numarabile) sunt acele substantive pe care le pot numara. Ele au forma atat de singular cat si de plural. Apple- apples; child- children; tree- trees; Uncountable nouns ( substantivele nenumarabile) sunt acele substantive care nu pot fi numarate. Ele au forma doar de singural: tea, cheese, bread, milk, sugar, water, meat etc. In propozitii affirmative, folosim a sau an in fata substantivelor numarabile la singular si some in fata substantivelor numarabile si nenumarabile la plural.
Some and any:
Some se foloseste in propozitii afirmative. There are some flowers in the garden. – Sunt niste flori in gradina. There is some ice cream in the fridge. – Este niste inghetata in frigider. Any – se foloseste in propozitii negative si in intrebari. There aren’t any apples on the table. – Nu sunt mere pe masa. There isn’t any sugar.- Nu este zahar. Is there any milk in the fridge? – Este lapte in frigider?
