Flop
Once the betting for the first
round is equalized, that is, once everyone
has had an opportunity either to fold or
match the total betting, the dealer deals
three cards face up in the center of the
table. These first three of the community
cards are called the flop.
The second round of betting takes place.
In this round, the betting starts with
the first active player (one who still has
cards) to the left of the button. If the
small blind called on the first round, that
player would be first to act, even though
he was next-to-last on the first round of
betting. Only in the first round (some-
times called the preflop round) does the
betting start elsewhere. In all rounds
after the first, the first player has two
choices:
*check, that is, make no bet
*bet, that is, make a bet at the proper
limit for that round
If no one bets, each player in turn has
the same choices. It is possible in every
round except the first for no betting to
occur. No betting in a round is called be-
ing checked around.

A player who checks retains his cards. If
someone bets, when the action returns,
a player who checked has the preceding
three choices. To check and then raise
when the betting returns is known, rea-
sonably enough, as check-raising. If you
check with the intention of raising, you

will bet.
The Turn
Once the betting for the second round is
equalized, that is, once everyone has had
an opportunity either to check or match
the total betting for the round, the dealer
deals one more card face up in the center
of the table. This fourth of the commu-
nity cards is called the turn.
The third round of betting takes place.
Again, the betting starts with the first
active player to the left of the button.
The betting proceeds exactly the same
as the second round. In a limit game, in
the third round and fourth rounds the
betting usually proceeds in increments
twice the size of the first two rounds.
The River
Once the betting for the third round is
equalized, the dealer deals a fifth and fi-
nal card face up in the center of the table.
This last community card is called the
river.
The fourth and final round of betting
takes place. Again, the betting starts

left of the button. The betting pro-
ceeds exactly the same as the two
previous rounds.
Showdown
Once the betting for the fourth
round is equalized, the betting is
over, and there is a showdown. Re-
maining active players show their
cards and the best hand, comprised
of the best five cards from among
two of each player's four hole cards
in combination with three of the
community cards, wins. The soft-
ware determines the winning hand,
and awards the pot to the holder of
that hand.
Players do not show their cards si-
multaneously. The showdown takes
place in a specified order.
The software shows the cards of the
first player to have bet or the last
player to have raised in any previ-
ous round. (If there was no betting
on the river, the cards of the first
player to have bet or the last player
to have raised on the turn would
be shown first on the showdown-
and so on.) If the next active player
has a better hand than the one just
shown (or ties it), the software
shows his cards. If the next active
player does not have a better hand,
the software offers that player a
choice. He can show his cards, if he
wishes, or he can just get rid of the
cards (muck). The software treats
each remaining active player in
turn the same-either turning over
the hand if it is better than (or tied
with) any shown thus far or offer-
ing the choice of showing or muck-
ing-and awards the pot to the best
hand.
Don't worry about inadvertently
misreading your hand and acciden-
tally throwing away a winner. As
long as you have called to the end,
the software awards the pot to the
winning hand-and reports in the
chat box the value of that hand.
You may, for example, have been
concentrating so hard on making a
flush that you don't see that, while
you missed the flush, you actually
had a straight. The software makes
sure that if your hand is the best at
the showdown you win.
If the betting is not equalized on the
final round, that is, one player bet
or raised and no one called, there
is no showdown, and the software
awards the pot to the player who
made that uncalled bet. This is the
case on any previous round, as well.
If it happens on earlier rounds, no
further cards are dealt, because the
hand is over.

Sometimes a player runs out of
chips before all the betting is over.
In such case, one or more side
pots are created, and the software
awards appropriate main and side
pots. When a player is all in, a bet
or raise can be made that is not
called, but a showdown still takes
place.
Players often do not show losing
hands. You are entitled, however,
to see any cards that were active
at the showdown even if they were
not shown. Click on LAST HAND
to bring up a new window that
shows the results of the last hand
and all the active cards. You can
also specify in that window any
previous hand (up to the last 50 in
your current session) on which to
get a report.

Pe lângă următoarele reguli de pariere
speciale, se aplică regulile de pariere
standard. Regulile de pariere speciale
au întâietate în faţa regulilor de pari-
ere standard.
1.) Pariuri Head-to-Head (H2H): Ca-
lul care va ocupa cea mai bună poziţie
la sfârşitul cursei este câştigător. În
cazul în care unii cai cad, se opresc
sau îşi arunăa călareţii, participan-
tul care a avansat cel mai mult în
cursă va fi considerat câştigător. Dacă
unul sau mai mulţi participanţi se
retrag înainte de a se alinia la “Or-
dinea de start” sau sunt declaraţi
“neparticipanţi” de către cel care dă
startul, atunci toate pariurile vor fi

termina rezultatul final. În cazul

“Walkover” (un singur participant
termină cursa), vor fi acordate 6 lungi-
mi la “Cursele naţionale de obstacole”
(“National Hunt Races” Cursele de
sărituri) şi 2 lungimi la”Cursele pe
teren plan” (“Flat Racing”).
6.) Va fi numărul de cursă al
câştigătorului par sau impar? În ca-
zul în care cursa se termină în “Dead

schimba în viitorul apropiat, după cum spune
senatorul Nick Xenophon. Senatorul face apel la
guvernul australian de a interzice popularele aplicaţii
pentru iPhone.
Xenophon spune de luni de zile că aplicaţile nu sunt
reglementate în mod corespunzător, deoarece copii
au acces la aplicaţii. Senatorul nu este de acord cu re-
glementarea, el dorind scoterea aplicaţiilor în afara
legii.“Trebuie să existe o anchetă parlamentară în ceea
ce priveşte legislaţia jocurilor de noroc online, pentru că

tions are not properly regulated, and that children have
access to the apps. The senator is not pushing for regula-
tion, instead he wants the applications outlawed.
“There needs to be a parliamentary inquiry into online
gambling laws because otherwise we will see a new wave
of problem gamblers as soon as these kids turn eigh-
teen,” said Xenophon. The problem, however, with a
complete ban, is that it may be unenforceable.
Internet filtering has been high on the list of the Austra-
lian Labor Party, but they have not had enough votes to
pass their plan. The Party is hoping that they will gain
enough votes in the near future to make Internet filter-
ing a reality, but there is no guarantee that will happen.
With no way to filter what applications come with the
iPhone, Xenophon will focus his efforts on ensuring
that the apps are outlawed for children. Currently, some
of the gambling applications come with a recommend-
ed age limit of twelve and up, while others have no age
limit.
Xenophon has also argued in the past that these apps,
although played for fake money, can create gambling
patterns at a young age. The senator feels these apps are
simply grooming the youth of Australia to become real
gamblers when they get older.

de a lucra atât online cât şi offline. S-a
văzut în finala WPT, cred că Ebanks Joe
şi Simon Munz sunt mult mai buni decât
mine online, dar poate nu au avut suficientă

Ştii eu am o soţie şi trei copii şi mai am şi o

drum o mare parte a anului, aşa că nu am

adevărul este că am găsit omul care poate
face acest lucru şi am comandat deja!
7. Care a fost visul tău, atunci când ai fost
un copil ?
Visul meu atunci când am fost copil a fost
să fiu pilot de avion în China! ... Nu mă
întrebaţi de ce!
8. Care este visul tău acum?
Pentru poker: să câştig Campionatul WPT
Bellagio, unul dintre cele mai frumoase
turnee din lume. Pentru viaţa mea: totul
este atât de perfect acum încât visul meu
este de a rămâne aşa! 
  
9. Descrieţi în câteva cuvinte WPT Bucur-
WPT Bucureşti a fost un turneu foarte bun
pentru prima dată ... sunt unele lucruri
pe care le pot face mai bine şi am vorbit
mult cu ei despre asta, am găsit o echipă de
oameni foarte atenţi pentru a face din acest
eveniment un eveniment cu adevărat mare:
rezultatul se va vedea anul viitor, sunt sigur
că WPT Bucuresti va fi unul foarte impor-
tant .... şi pentru mine, desigur!
Bucureştiul va fi pentru totdeauna un loc
turneului dar şi atmosfera. În finală am fost
(caştigător WPT Cipru) şi Christophe
Benzimra (câştigător al EPT Praga) şi de
asemenea – am fost susţinut şi de româ-
ni. Toţi românii mi-au oferit sprijinul lor
şi au fost foarte amabili cu mine. Nu îi voi
uita niciodată deoarece acum am o poveste
specială în ţara dumneavoastră.

Las Vegas, este cel mai populat oraş din
Nevada, un oraş staţiune cu renume
internaţional în industria jocurilor de
noroc. Las Vegas, este capitala divertis-
mentului mondial, este renumit pentru
numărul de cazinouri şi locurile în care
să te distrezi. Este situat pe locul 28
în topul celor mai populate oraşe din
Statele Unite, cu o populaţie estimată
de către US Census Bureau de 558.383
de cetăţeni în 2008. Populaţia estimată
din zona metropolitană Las Vegas, în-
cepând din 2008, a fost 1.865.746.

"Născut" în 1905, Las Vegas a deve-
nit oficial oraş în 1911. Creşterea ce
a urmat a făcut ca la sfârşitul seco-
lului Las Vegas, să fie declarat cel
mai populat oraş american fondat în
secolul 20 (o distincţie pe care Chica-
go a detinuto ăn secolul 19). Datorită
toleranţei oraşului pentru diferitele
forme de divertisment pentru adulţi,
Las Vegas a câştigat renumele de Sin
City, devenind foarte popular pentru
industria cinematografică. Pe de altă
parte Las Vegas are, de asemenea, cel
mai mare număr de biserici pe cap de
locuitor din SUA. Firmele luminoase
din Las Vegas sunt văzute nu numai
din oraş cât şi din afara lui.
Numele Las Vegas este adesea fo-
losit şi în zonele fără personalitate
juridică, care înconjoară oraşul, în
special în zonele din apropierea

a devenit un oraş de cale ferată pop-
ular la începutul anilor 1900. A fost
un punct important pentru toate
minele din zonă, în special cele din
jurul oraşului Bullfrog, care livrau
bunurile în
toată tara. Odată cu proliferarea de
căi ferate, Las Vegas a devenit mai
puţin important, dar finalizarea
Barajul Hoover, în 1935 a dus la o
creştere a rezidenţilor şi turiştilor.
Barajul este situat la 30 mile (48 km)
sud-est de oraş,locul Lacului Mead.

Astăzi, sunt oferite mai puţine ex-
cursii în zona barajului. Legalizarea
jocurilor de noroc în 1931 a condus
la apariţia de hoteluri-cazino, motiv
pentru care Las Vegas este cunoscut.
Dezvoltările majore au apărut în anii
1940. Succesul în afaceri a oraşului
la început sa datorat crimei organi-
zate din America. Cele mai multe ca-
zinouri iniţiale mari au fost gestion-
ate sau finanţate de catre Benjamin
"Bugsy" Siegel, Meyer Lansky sau
alte figuri celebre a mafiei din acele
timpuri.
Las Vegas a fost menţionată ca
"Mississippi de Vest" pentru isto-
ria sa rasistă, în special datorită
discriminării împotriva afro-ameri-
canilor.
Odată cu sosirea la sfârşitul anilor
1960 a omului de afaceri Howard
Hughes, acesta a cumpărat mai
multe hoteluri-cazino, precum şi
posturile de radio şi de televiziune
din oraş, apoi corporaţiile legitime
au început să cumpere hoteluri-ca-
zino, de asemenea, iar mafia a fost
"expulzata" de către fortele federale
în următorii ani.
Fluxl mare de dolari din jocurile
de noroc şi hoteluri reprezintă o
contribuţie importantă devenind o
nouă sursă federală de bani. Aceşti
bani au venit în ajutorul a ceea ce
este acum Nellis Air Force Base.
Deşi veniturile din jocurile de no-
roc din Las Vegas au fost depăşite
de către Macao, zona Las Vegas,

divertismentului mondial.

in the unincorporated communities
of Paradise and Winchester, while a
small portion overlaps into Las Vegas
and the unincorporated community
of Enterprise.
The first reported visit to the valley
by someone of European descent was
Raphael Rivera in 1829. Las Vegas
was named by Spaniards in the An-
tonio Armijo party, who used the wa-
ter in the area while heading north
and west along the Old Spanish Trail
from Texas. In the 1800s, areas of the
Las Vegas Valley contained artesian
wells that supported extensive green
areas or meadows (vegas in Spanish),
hence the name Las Vegas.
John C. Frémont traveled into the
Las Vegas Valley on May 3, 1844,
while it was still part of Mexico. He
was a leader of a group of scientists,
scouts and observers for the United
States Army Corps of Engineers. On
May 10, 1855, following annexa-
tion by the United States, Brigham
Young assigned 30 missionaries of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-
day Saints led by William Bringhurst
to the area to convert the Paiute In-
dian population to Mormonism. A
fort was built near the current down-
town area, serving as a stopover for
travelers along the “Mormon Cor-
ridor” between Salt Lake and the
briefly thriving colony of saints at
San Bernardino, California. How-
ever, Mormons abandoned Las Vegas
in 1857. Las Vegas was established
as a railroad town on May 15, 1905,

the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt
Lake Railroad, was auctioned off in
what is now downtown Las Vegas.
Among the railroads most notable
owners and directors were Montana
Senator William A. Clark, Utah U.S.
Senator Thomas Kearns and R.C. Ke-
rens of St. Louis. Las Vegas was part
of Lincoln County until 1909 when
it became part of the newly estab-
lished Clark County. The St. Joan of
Arc Catholic Church near 4th and
Bridger in downtown was founded
in 1910. Las Vegas became an incor-
porated city on March 16, 1911 and
Peter Buol was the first mayor.
Las Vegas started as a stopover on
the pioneer trails to the west, and be-
came a popular railroad town in the
early 1900s. It was a staging point
for all the mines in the surrounding

area, especially those around the town of Bull-
frog, that shipped their goods out to the rest of
the country. With the proliferation of the rail-
roads, Las Vegas became less important but the
completion of the nearby Hoover Dam in 1935
of military personnel and casino job-hunters
helped start a land building boom which, as of
today, has leveled off a bit.

been surpassed by Macau, the Las Vegas area

The legalization of gambling in 1931 led to the
advent of the casino-hotels, for which Las Ve-
gas is famous. Major development occurred in
the 1940s. The success of the city’s early casino
businesses was owed to American organized
crime. Most of the original large casinos were
managed or at least funded under mob figures
Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, Meyer Lansky or oth-
er mob figures at this time. The rapid growth of
this gambling empire is credited with dooming
Galveston, Texas; Hot Springs, Arkansas; and
other major gaming centers in the 1950s.

Las Vegas has been referred as “The Mississippi

of the West” for its racist history, particularly in
its discrimination against African Americans.
With the arrival in the late 1960s of business-
man Howard Hughes, who purchased many
casino-hotels, as well as television and radio sta-
tions in the city, legitimate corporations began
to purchase casino-hotels as well, and the mob
was run out by the federal government over the
next several years. The constant stream of tour-
ist dollars from the hotels and casinos was also
augmented by a new source of federal money.
This money came from the establishment of
what is now Nellis Air Force Base. The influx
