SIMEST - Instituția Italiană pentru Finanțarea Dezvoltării - a fost înființată în 1991 și sa alăturat EDFI

în 1995. SIMEST este o societate pe acțiuni (SpA) și este controlată de Grupul Cassa depositi e
prestiti (CDP) - Instituția Națională Promoțională Italiană. Acţionarii rămaşi includ bănci şi asociaţii
comerciale. SIMEST a fost înființat pentru a promova investițiile străine directe ale companiilor

SIMEST is the company of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group that has supported the growth of
Italian companies since 1991 through the internationalization of their business. Shareholders are
SACE, which holds 76%, and a large group of Italian banks and business associations.

It supports the company throughout the cycle of expansion abroad, from the initial evaluation of
opening in a new market, to expansion through direct investments. It operates through financing for
internationalization, support for export credit and participation in company capital.

It works with EU funds. SIMEST, together with SACE, is part of the CDP Group's Export and
Internationalization Hub, a single point of contact for companies that want to compete and grow
internationally.

It is a member of the EDFI - European Development Financial Institutions network, and is a partner
of the main world financial institutions.
