mejdia anexarii de catre Ru§i, atunci s'a ivit ideia a§a-numitei dinastii strain,
dar occidentals, §i nici austriaca. De f apt era cererea unui coborator de se-
mintie ilustra pentru ca sä-1 adoptam.
Adoptarea prin natiune a incercat catre vlastare latine: printul Napoleon
§i un coborator a§ezat in Rusia al lui Eugeniu de Beauharnais, fiul adoptiv
al ac,eluiat§i Imparat al Francezilor. Ea s'a oprit asupra unui Hohenzollern de
la Rin, nu fiindcli era german, ci fiindca, in legatura cu celalt Napoleon, se
cobora din aceia§i Beauharnais §i din Murat, inrudit cu Napoleonizii.
Carol I-iu, om de un inalt simt al misiunii sale, a venit cu un program
de realizari imperiale, intru toate asemenea cu acela de vaste creatiuni care

pure de soarta, care iii are tainicele ei socoteli, in care Carol al II-lea si a reel-
patat mostenirea represinta o noua adoptare de tara insasi a neamului pe care
1-am ales not la 1866 §i pe care, castigandu-i marile insusiri de vointa si de
cumpanire, ni 1-am insusit, dinastie si tara contopindu-se pe deplin.
