Festivalul Internaional de Film NexT a fost creat n 2006, n onoarea cineatilor

Cristian Nemescu i Andrei Toncu. n scurt timp, NexT a devenit unul dintre cele
mai ndrgite evenimente n rndul publicului larg i un loc de ntlnire pentru cei
care triesc i se exprim prin flm. n fecare an, sunt prezentate peste 100 de
flme de scurt i mediu metraj din toat lumea, grupate n diferite seciuni. Pro-
gramul festivalului este completat de o serie de seminarii pe diferite teme, pentru
toi iubitorii celei de-a aptea arte.
NexT International Film Festival was established in 2006, to honor the memory
of director Cristian Nemescu and sound designer Andrei Toncu. NexT has be-
come one of the most popular cultural events in Bucharest and a meeting place
for all those who use flms to live their lives and express themselves. Each year,
more than 100 short and medium productions from all over the world, divided
into different sections, are presented. A series of workshops on various themes
complete the festivals program.

Cineatii romni au ansa s participe, pentru prima dat, la concursul The Pitch,
n cadrul Festivalului NexT. Organizat de ShortsTV, n parteneriat cu Romtele-
com, The Pitch ofer ansa unei fnanri de 5.000 de euro pentru producia
unui scurtmetraj.
Candidaii nscrii i acceptai au 2 minute i 15 secunde ca s i vnd ideea n
faa camerei de flmat, n limba englez, pe 3 aprilie. Prezentrile vor f postate
apoi pe pagina de Facebook a ShortsTV, pe 4 aprilie. Cele cinci prezentri care
adun cele mai multe Like-uri pn pe 6 aprilie, vor ajunge pe lista scurt The
Pitch. Doar acestea cinci vor f prezentate unui juriu care va decide ctigtorul.
Acesta va f anunat la gala de nchidere a NexT, pe 7 aprilie.
Romanian flmmakers have, for the frst time, the chance to participate in The
Pitch contest. Organized by ShortsTV, in partnership with Romtelecom, The
Pitch offers the chance of a 5000 funding for the production of a short flm.
Selected applicants will have 2 minutes and 15 seconds to sell his or her idea in
front of the camera, in English, on the 3rd of April. On the 4th of April, all the pres-
entations will be posted on ShortsTVs Facebook page. The frst fve presenta-
tions which get the most Likes until the 6th of April, will get on The Pitch shortlist.
Only these fve will be shown to a jury, who will decide the winner. The latter will be
announced during the NexT Closing Gala, on the 7th of April.
n completarea concursului The Pitch, NexT organizeaz, pentru prima dat,
NexT Short Film Market, cu sprijinul Institutului Cultural Romn. Duminic, 6
aprilie, candidaii selecionai la The Pitch vor avea, n plus, ansa s-i prezinte
proiectele n faa a unor productori romni i strini, n cadrul unei serii de ntl-
niri individuale.
In addition to The Pitch contest, NexT organizes, for the frst time, NexT Short
Film Market, with the support of Romanian Cultural Institute. On Sunday, the 6th
of April, the candidates selected for The Pitch will moreover have the chance to
present their projects in front of Romanian and foreign flm producers, during a
series of individual meeting session.

Film and theatre make their way into the underdeveloped cultural areas: Alex-
andria, Victoria, Biertan, Alba-Iulia in Romania. The festivals organized by our
seminar guests aim to reinvigorate the lives of these communities, to bring back
