6. Alarme

Etichetarea informaiei
O etichet (fag) a informaiei ofer operatorului informaii n timp i/sau pericole
despre operaie sau funcionarea unui dispozitiv. Un click pe un dispozitiv cu o etichet de
informaie i pe ecran se va afia un mesaj informaional, mpreun cu numele operatorului ce
a aplicat eticheta, timpul i data cnd a fost aplicat.

Bus lines can be automatically colored according to their status : ground or live and according
to their live operating voltage. Bus coloring improves the clarity of the information delivered
to operators, further facilitating safe operation.
When the bus voltage is selected during display configuration, the appropriate customerdefined color is automatically applied.
Portable Ground Display
Displaying the presence of portable grounds is another tool that enhances the clarity and
safety of operation. Clicking on the bus work will pop-up the "Attach Portable Ground"
shown in the picture. Attaching the portable ground automatically recolors the bus to your
chosen grounded color, and shows the portable ground symbol in the appropriate color and
location.

Configuration Environment
Configuration Editor
In a stand-alone SCADA system a single computer provides all the functions of a system:
Server functions such as real-time communications with RTUs and PLCs, database
management, alarm and event management and history recording
Client functions such as operator and/or engineering HMI, including monitoring, control and
configuration.
Standalone systems can have full configuration client capability, operator capability, or read-only
capability.
Multi-Computer SCADA Systems
In a multi-computer SCADA system the various services provided by the SCADA system are
distributed amongst multiple computers in a client-server architecture. The most obvious, but not
the only possible distribution is that between servers and clients:
Servers: These computers are responsible for the essential underlying SCADA services. This
includes for example:
Communications with RTUs, PLCs, reclosers, relays and other I/O devices.
Clients: These computers provide the human interface for the many and varied users of the SCADA
system. The roles of clients includes:
Real-time monitoring
Control
System configuration
The use of two servers as shown in the picture above greatly increases the overall reliability
of the system. In this configuration one server acts as a hot standby to the other. In the
event a server fails then all its services are automatically provided by the second server.
This greatly reduces the chance of total system failure compared to having all services
provided by a single server.
Failure of any client computer does not stop operation of the servers or any of the other
clients.
Use of a duplicated LAN greatly reduces system failure that would otherwise be caused by
failure of a LAN interface card, LAN cable, or other single point of failure in the SCADA
network.
Performance
Distribution in a client-server architecture spreads the computing load between multiple computers.
The result is simply better performance. Perhaps surprisingly it is often the heavily-graphical client
operations that frequently consume more computer resource than the server operations in a modern
SCADA system. Both client and server computers are specified to meet the peculiar requirements
of their different roles.
Operator workstations
Operator workstations for monitoring and control can be provided throughout your business:
Anywhere on your corporate LAN or WAN. These can either be tied to specific computers,
or available so an operator can logon and gain access through any computer on your
LAN/WAN.
Portable operator workstations on notebooks and the like can be provided by either full
dedicated clients or terminal server clients (shown). Either option can provide view only or
full monitoring and control capability.
Anywhere on your corporate LAN or WAN. Either tied to specific computers, or available
via a thin client on any computer on your LAN/WAN.
Portable engineering services can be provided by either full dedicated clients or terminal
server clients (shown). Both options can deliver full configuration capability.
Corporate Access
Monitoring SCADA
Real-time monitoring of SCADA can be provided anywhere across your corporate LAN or WAN,
including portable monitoring (e.g. dial-in from a notebook). "Dedicated clients" are useful where
specific users need regular access. Alternatively "concurrent access" enables a business to make
any of its networked computers available for SCADA monitoring, based on a "maximum number of
concurrent users" license. Concurrent access also does not require any special software to be
loaded on these computers.
Reporting on SCADA
SCADA data can be accessed from across your corporate network using common third-party
software packages. Managers and other users can easily produce reports that include raw,
calculated, real-time and/or historical data from SCADA. Connecting to SCADA is achieved using
standards such as ODBC and SQL.
Bringing other information into SCADA
iPower has powerful tools to enable SCADA users to incorporate data from your other business
systems into their SCADA environment.
Internet Access
View-only access can be provided via the Internet. This is a true "thin client" in that the only
software required is any standard Internet browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape

Telephones (voice)
Computers (email)
