Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni, of great architectural, historical, documentary and artistic value,
was built in 1911 at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino The whole castle
consists of 4 bodies. The central pavilion is built of a concrete foundation, carved stone walls and
a tiled roof. The service pavilion has a ground floor and a first floor. The administrative villa has
only one level. The fourth body is the chapel The garden at the foot of the palace has been
tastefully decorated in the style of the parks in the great European capitals. The three artesian
wells can still be seen today and the trees lined up along the straight alleys have been witnessed
over time. You can visit the Castle and the exhibition, enjoy a coffee on the terrace, and then
feel the adrenaline in the courtyard adventure park. Or you can feel the adrenaline beforehand,
have lunch on the terrace and then visit the Castle and the exhibition. Any option is possible at
the Castle.
Visiting hours in Cantacuzino Castle: Monday-Sunday 09.00-21.00
You leave by train at 10.40 from Brașov and at 11.35 you arrive at the station from
Busteni from where you will then be taken by a bus that will take you exactly to the
castle
