REZUMAT
Educaia i sntatea reprezint componente ale capitalului uman, dar i ale dezvoltrii umane. Omul, prin fora
sa creatoare, a fost considerat o resurs economic. Dei activele intangibile capitalul uman ca principal component a capitalului intelectual sunt cele care genereaz cretere i dezvoltare, asistm n prezent la o schimbare a paradigmei economico-sociale: omul nu mai trebuie privit ca o resurs, ca un mijloc al creterii i dezvoltrii
economice, ci bunstarea lui constituie chiar scopul creterii i dezvoltrii. Prezenta lucrare i propune s prezinte
elemente referitoare la modul n care educaia i sntatea, componente ale dezvoltrii umane, sunt interconectate.

ABSTRACT
Education and health are components of human capital, but also of human development. Man, through his creative force, it was considered an economic resource. Although intangible assets human capital as main component of intellectual capital are those that generate growth and development, we are currently witnessing a paradigm shift in economic and social field: human been is no longer regarded as a resource, as means to growth and
development, but his welfare constitutes the very purpose of growth and development. This paper aims to present
some interdependences between education and health as components of human development.

INTRODUCERE

intern brut per capita mai mare nu nseamn neaprat o via mai bun pentru locuitorii rii respective. Dintre acestea se disting cea a lui Mahbud
ul Haq, creatorul Indicelui Dezvoltrii Umane
(Human Development Index HDI), i cea a lui
Amartya Sen, laureat al Premiului Nobel pentru
Economie, cel care a definit dezvoltarea uman ca
libertate. Nscui n ri srace, Pakistan, repectiv

CONCLUZII
Prin influena benefic asupra strii de sntate
educaia contribuie astfel i indirect la ntrirea capitalului uman al individului, spre beneficul lui i al
societii. Cunotinele, capabilitile, abilitile,
valorile fiecrui om, deci capitalul uman individual
agregat la nivelul populaiei active reprezint fora
generatoare de dezvoltare. Fiind apanajul fiinei
umane i nsoind-o n mod intrinsec, capitalul
uman este potenat de starea de sntate fizic i
mental a omului. Astfel, investiiile n educaie i
n ngrijirea sntii, la nivelul individului, familiei, grupului, naiunii, reprezint cele mai sigure
