Gradul pozitiv este adjectivul in forma lui normala: big, beautiful, interesting

I. Adaugam -er la comparativ si the -est la superlativ la:

1. adjectivele scurte, formate dintr-o silaba: small, big, slow

2.adjectivele formate din 2 silabe, care se termina in -Y: heavy, happy

II. Adaugam more+adj la comparativ si the most+adj la superlativ, la adjectivele lungi, formate din 2
