I have a young father.=Eu am un tată tânăr.

She has two beautiful sisters. = Ea are 2 surori frumoase.

Comparative

 For adjectives that are just one syllable, add -er to the end (la adj de o silabă se adaugă -er)

young=tânăr, younger= mai tânăr

wise=înțelept, wiser=mai înțelept

 For adjectives ending in -y, change the -y to -i and add -er(la adj care se termină în y se schimbă y
în i și se adaugă -er)

Pretty=drăguț, prettier=mai drăguț

Lonely=singuratic, lonlier=mai singuratic

 For two-syllable adjectives not ending in -y and for all three-or-more-syllable adjectives, use the
form “more + adjective.” (la adj de 2 silabe sau mai multe se adaugă more în fața adjectivului)

Beautiful=frumos, more beautiful=mai frumos

Boring= plictisitor, more boring= mai plictisitor

Superlative

 For adjectives that are just one syllable, add the and -est to the end (la adj de o silabă se adaugă
the în față și -est)

young=tânăr, the youngest= cel mai tânăr

wise=înțelept, the wisest=cel mai înțelept

 For two-syllable adjectives not ending in -y and for all three-or-more-syllable adjectives, use the
form “the most + adjective” (la adj de 2 silabe sau mai multe se adaugă the most în fața
adjectivului)

Beautiful=frumos, the most beautiful=cel mai frumos

Boring= plictisitor, the most boring= cel mai plictisitor
