/t/ la verbele care se termină într-o consoană surdă. Consoanele surde se

pronunță fără ajutorul corzilor vocale, precum este p, k sau s.

/d/ la verbele care se termină într-o consoană sonoră: b, g, m, n, r, v, w.

/id/ la verbele care se termină în t sau d.

 Forma negativă a verbelor la timpul trecut simplu

Trecutul simplu la negativ și interogativ se formează cu ajutorul verbului

to do la trecut (did).

Negativ

I = nu m-am jucat/dus
You = tu nu te-ai jucat/dus
did not play
He = el nu s-a jucat/dus
She didn’t = ea nu s-a jucat/dus
go
It = el/ea nu s-a jucat/dus
We = noi nu ne-am dus/jucat
You = voi nu v-ați dus/jucat
They = ei/ele nu s-au dus/jucat
