Absolvent de film i de teologie, Drago Lumpan este autorul mai multor albume de fotografie: Ultima la nivelul zidurilor, picturii i tradiiilor, pierznd esena acesteia - viaa monahal i scopul ei. Ne dorim
Transhuman, Chipuri de via monahal, Fotografii micate (e-book). Semneaz regia i imaginea pentru realizarea unui album de fotografie care s surprind bogia, lumina i bucuria vieii duhovniceti din
filmele documentare: Ultima transhuman, Matache. Berzei Buzeti, Sulukule meet M&M, Evliya mnstire i care s ndemne spre cretere spiritual. Un proiect foarte frumos, poate prea ndrzne, dar cu
elebi Road. Este implicat i n alte proiecte de lung durat: 1984-2014 (realizat mpreun cu fiul su i care siguran pe gustul meu. Aa c, n 2006, n perioada Postului Mare i a Sptmnii Luminate, am stat trei
urmrete schimbrile din ultimii 30 de ani din unele ri din fostul bloc comunist), Uri i alte mti (un sptmni la Mnstirea Sihstria Putnei. i am fcut fotografii pentru albumul Chipuri de via monahal.

A film and theology graduate, Drago Lumpan is the author of several photography albums: The Last
Transhumance, Faces of the Monastic Life, Blurred photographs (e-book) . He is the director and the In 2006 I received the invitation to do some photo shoots for a distinguished project. Its organizers wanted

Putnei mi-am redeteptat bucuria Raiului. Un soi de motivaie interioar a vieii duhovniceti. Am gustat o
priveghere i am fugit, ruinat s nu tulbur linitea locului. Am revenit de cte ori mi-a ngduit Dumnezeu,
legat sufletete de oamenii de acolo, unii devenindu-mi studeni dei, cnd intri n Sihstria Putnei, e ca
n coala nchipuit de Constantin Noica: nu mai tii cine d i cine primete. n minunatele fotografii
Scrie. Slujete. Pred. Nscut pe 19 iulie 1970 la Braov este doctor n teologie la Facultatea Sf. Andrei aguna ale albumului i-am redescoperit pe Prini. Zmbitori i bucuroi c triesc tandreea lui Dumnezeu,
unde colete pn astzi. Are 53 de volume de autor unic, studii i articole, traduceri i interviuri, cteva ascunzndu-i oboseala n camaraderii luminoase. Nu m-am gndit, atunci cnd mi s-a propus s scriu
sute de conferine n ar i n strintate. Este jurnalist i editor de carte i colaborator la emisiuni de radio cteva gnduri, la nimic altcineva dect la bucuria de a fi cu ei. Redescoperii n chipuri de oameni topii
i televiziune. Iubete Biserica, oamenii i crile. Slujete la Catedrala Mitropolitan din Sibiu. Pred la de-acum la focul lucrului cu faa la Dumnezeu. Fotografiile dogoresc de focul acesta. i m-am folosit de el.

several lines, about anything but the joy of being with them. Rediscovered humans, melting in the fire of
working through God. The photos are burning with this fire. And I used it. Thats all. In order to write several
words all it took was a tremble of fraternal friendship. To write to friends you dont need motivation. Only
friends. Here they are!

Clugrii Sihstriei Putnei vieuiesc ntr-o veche aezare monahal din pdurile Bucovinei, n vecintatea
Mnstirii Putna. Astzi, ei continu o tradiie de via monahal, nceput pe vremea voievodului tefan cel
Mare. Majoritatea dintre ei sunt tineri. Cu tot ce implic: entuziasm, deschidere, curaj, dar i cu nedesvriri,
experiene fragede, zboruri curmate prea repede. Dincolo de toate, cei care triesc aici vor s fie, mai nti,
oameni. Fr pretenii angelice sau priviri de sus. Ci trind n firescul i bucuria credinei, n cuminenia
celor motenite din vremuri mai aezate, dei, uneori, acestea par a fi n dezacord cu duhul lumii de azi.
Sihstria Putnei este o mnstire n care clugrii i credincioii l caut pe Dumnezeu. Cutrii lor,
Dumnezeu le rspunde cu un duh de tihn, pace i bucurie. Pe acestea primindu-le, este o datorie s le dm
mai departe: poarta i inima Sihstriei de la Putna sunt permanent deschise pentru cei dornici de linite, de
un cuvnt bun i de o privire luminoas care s le nsenineze tristeile.

MNSTIREA SIHSTRIA PUTNEI MONASTERY


The monks at Sihastria Putnei live in an old monastic settlement, in the forests of Bucovina, close to Putna
Monastery. Today they are continuing a monastic life tradition started in the times of Stephen the Great.
Most of the monks are young. With everything thats implied: enthusiasm, openness, courage, but also
imperfections, frail experiences, flights cut short too soon. Beyond everything, the ones who live here want
to be, first of all, human beings. Not through angelical pretensions or superior gazes. But by living naturally
and joyfully in faith, in the wisdom of things inherited from distant, and more settled times, although these
seem to be in disagreement with todays world spirit.
Sihastria Putnei is a monastery in which monks and believers seek God. To their calling, God answers with
a spirit of quietness, peace, and joy. And by receiving them, it is our duty to pass them around: the gate and
the heart of our monastery are always open for those who are looking for peace, a kind word, and a glowing
glance to lighten their sadness.
