Viaceslav HARNAJ (sau Veceslav HARNAJ):

s-a nscut la 07.XI.1917 n comuna Baimaclia, raionul Cueni, Republica Moldova

a decedat n 28.X.1988 la Bucureti. (71 ani)

Dup absolvirea colii n comuna natal i a liceului din Chiinu, a urmat cursurile Institutului
Politehnic Bucureti, pe care l-a absolvit n anul 1945, obinnd diploma de inginer constructor
cu ,,Magna cum laude.

Viaceslav HARNAJ (or Veceslav HARNAJ):

He was born at 07.XI.1917 in Baimaclia village, Cueni,
Moldova Republic
Died at 28.X.1988 in Bucharest (71 years old)
After finishing the school in his native village and the
highschool in Chisinau, he attended the Polytechnic Institute of
Bucharest, which he graduated in 1945, obtaining the
constructions engineer diploma with the title Magna cum
laude.

Between 1946-1947 Vaceslav Harnaj, eminent

scientist was a Profesor and the Head of
Department at:
-Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest,
-Institute of Civil Engineering,
-Technical Military Academy,
-Institute of Gas, Oil and Geology of Bucharest;

a publicat 164 lucrri tiinifice n ar i strintate,
autor a numeroase brevete i certificate de inventator, n Romnia, Japonia, Germania.
a predat cursuri de profil la universiti din Roma, Colorado, Berlin, Paris etc.

In technical area:
-he published 164 scientific papers in the
country and abroad,
-He is the author of many patents and
inventor certificates in Romania, Japan and
Germany.
--he taught profile clases at universities in
Rome, Colorado, Berlin, Paris, and others.

1964: - a devenit membru activ al Academiei de tiine din New York

1968: - ca o recunoatere a valorii sale, a fost invitat s deschid lucrrile

"Primului Simpozion n domeniul Lichidelor Polifazate" de la Moscova

1969: - a obinut "Marea Medalie de Aur" la Salonul Internaional de Inventic din Germania.
- a fost ales Preedinte al Asociaiei Internaionale de Fluide Polifazate.

1975 - a fost ales membru de onoare al Academiei Internaionale "Pontzen" din Napoli, Italia.

1964: - He became an active member of New York

Sciences Academy.
1968: - As a recognition of his value, he was
envited to open the papers of the First Symposion in
the area of Polyphase liquids" in Moscow.
1969: - He obtain The Great Gold Medal at the
International Salon of Inventions in Germany.
- He was chosen The President of
International Asociation of Polyphase Liquids.
1975 - He was a member of honor of Pontzen
International Academy from Napoly, Italia

Dragostea pentru albine i pasiunea pentru apicultur, dar i

primele cunotine n domeniul apicol i-au fost transmise de tatl
su, Dimitrie Harnagea - preot n comuna natal i un
experimentat cresctor de albine, perseverent propagator al
acestei milenare ndeletniciri.

In parallel with the scientific and academic teaching in the technical

area,
Prof. V. Harnaj has dedicated his entire life to the development of
Romanian modern beekeeping.
Love for bees and the passion for beekeeping and first
knowledge of beekeeping have been sent by his father, Demetrius
Harnagea - a priest in his native village and an experienced bee
breeder, propagator of this millennial dogged pursuits.

1957-1983 - a fost ales/reales Preedinte al Asociaiei Cresctorilor de Albine din Romnia.
- a fcut din A.C.A. un sprijin real pentru apicultur i apicultorii Romniei:
organiznd cursuri de pregtire i specializare n domeniul apicol
prin contribuie personal,
ncurajnd apariia revistei Apicultura,
Apicultura revist necesar pentru tiprirea i
retiprirea literaturii tiinifice din domeniul apiculturii.

1957-1983 He was chosen/re-chosen The President of The

Bee Breeders Asociation from Romania
- He made from BBA a real support for beekeeping
and the bee breeders of Romania.
Organising preparing and specialization
classes in the field of beekeeping
by personal contribution
in encouraging the apearance of the
Apiculture Magazine that was necessary for
the printing and re-printing of the scientific
literature on beekeeping.

Aa cum pentru albine nu exist frontiere, acestea n-au existat nici pentru apicultori,
deoarece Profesorul Harnaj - Preedinte al tuturor apicultorilor - a fcut ca pentru
apicultorii din lumea ntreag "cortina de fier s nu existe".

1965 - a fost ales ca presedinte al Federatiei Internationale a Asociatiilor de Apicultori

(APIMONDIA).

Just like for the bees there was no frontiers, there were no others for the beekeepers
because the Harnaj Profesor- The President of all Beekeepers- made that the Iron Curtain
shold never exist for them.
1965 He was chosen as the president of International Federation of the Beekeepers
Associations (APIMONDIA).

La data respectiva (1965) statutul Apimondia prevedea ca o persoana nu poate fi presedinte

mai mult de doua legislaturi a cate 5 ani. nainte de sfritul celei de-a doua legislaturi, datorit
competenei de care a dat dovad, s-a hotrt schimbarea statului Apimondia.

Astfel, Viaceslav Harnaj a fost presedintele Apimondiei pana in anul 1985, cand sanatatea nu
i-a mai permis.

Dupa 1985 a fost ales pe via Preedinte de onoare al Apimondiei.

At that time (1965) the Apimondia status involves the condition that a person could not be
president more than 2 legislatures of 5 years each. Before the end of the second one, because
of his special competence, it was decided the change of the Apimondia status.
That so, Viaceslav Harnaj was the president of Apimondia until 1985 when his health did not
allowed him any more.
After 1985 he was named for the rest of his life Honor President of Apimondia.

1971 - a nfiinat Liceul Apicol din Bucureti, a cror absolveni au devenit apicultori cu
nalt calificare.

*** din 1990 acest liceu a primit numele de Colegiul Agricol "Viaceslav Harnaj".

1971 - He founded the Apiculture Hyghschool

from Bucharest, whose graduates became high
qualification beekeepers.
*** from 1990 this highschool was named
"Viaceslav Harnaj Agricultural College.

1971 - a nfiinat la Bucureti Institutul Internaional de Tehnologie i Economie apicol
unitate tiinific i economic aparinnd Societii Apimondia,
Apimondia unde i desfura
activitatea Editura revistei Apiacta,
Apiacta ce tiprea lucrrile de specialitate prezentate la
Congresele Internaionale Apimondia, numeroase alte publicaii i lucrri tiinifice de
specialitate.

Sub conducerea Prof. V. Harnaj, n calitate de

preedinte, Apimondia s-a modernizat, fiind
mbinate armonios activitile specifice apicole i
cercetarea tiinific n domeniu.

Under the Prof. V. Harnaj leadership, as President,

Apimondia was upgraded harmoniously combining
the beekeeping specific activities and scientific
research in the area.

1974 - s-a inaugurat Institutul de Cercetare i Producie pentru Apicultur (I.C.P.A.), pas

decisiv n studiul tiinific al produselor stupului

din anul 1997, pe fondul transformrilor din sistemul
economic i de cercetare romnesc, Institutul de
Cercetare-Dezvoltare pentru Apicultur (I.C.D.A.),
a fost reorganizat ca unitate de drept privat, ce
aparine Asociaiei Cresctorilor de Albine din Romnia.

1974 It was inaugurated the Institute of Research and

Production For Apiculture (I.C.P.A.), decisive step in
the scientific study of bee products since 1997,
amid changes in the economic system and
Romanian research, The Romanian Institute for
Research and Development in Apiculture (ICDA), it
was reorganized as a private unit, that belongs to
the Beekeepers Association from Romania.

Dezvoltarea continu a ACA, att ca resurse umane ct i ca infrastructur, a creat un sistem
integrat unic de nvmnt, cercetare, producie i valorificare prin:
Combinatul apicol,
Institutul Internaional de Economie i Tehnologie Apicol al Apimondia,
Institutul de Cercetare-Dezvoltare pentru Apicultur,
Liceul Apicol,
cercurile apicole judeene
magazinele apicole din judee i municipii.

The continuous development of ACA, both human resources and infrastructure, created a unic
integrated education system in research, production and recovery operations by:
Plant bee,
International Institute of Economics and Technology of Apimondia,
Research and Development Institute of Apiculture,
Bee High School,
county bee circles Beekeeping stores in counties and municipalities.

ncepnd cu anii '70, Romnia i-a pstrat poziia de lider incontestabil n abordarea tiinific a
produselor stupului i introducerea apiterapiei ca o ramur nou a medicinei complementare.

Astfel, Centrul de Apiterapie din Bucureti creat n anul 1974 de ctre Prof. Viaceslav Harnaj
n cadrul APIMONDIA,
APIMONDIA din anul 1997 a trecut ca Departament la Institutul de Cercetare-
Dezvoltare pentru Apicultur (ICDA), urmare a studiilor efectuate de cercettorii n domeniile:
o apiterapie
o farmacologie
o biochimie
o galenic

Starting the '70, Romania keeped the incontestable leader position in scientific approach of bee
products and the introduction of the apitherapy as a new area of complementary medicin.
Thus, Apitherapy Center in Bucharest created in 1974 by Prof. Vyacheslav Harnaj in
APIMONDIA, 1997 passed the Department of Research and Development at the Institute for
Apiculture (ICDA), a result of studies conducted by researchers in the fields:
apitherapy - pharmacology - biochemistry Galenical.

Centrul de Apiterapie care a fcut deja istorie n Apiterapia romneasc, de-a

lungul timpului a dezvoltat o nou abordare medical - utilizarea produselor
stupului pentru meninerea sntii si frumuseii omului.

Apitherapy Center which was already history in Romanian Apitherapy, over time
developed a new medical approach - the use of bee products for human health and
beauty maintenance.

Romnia este una dintre puinele ri unde apiterapia a fost inclus n pregtirea medical de
baz i recunoscut ca avnd efecte pozitive n tratarea a peste 500 de afeciuni.

Romania is one of the few countries where apitherapy was included in the basic medical training
and recognized as having positive effects in treating over 500 diseases.
