"IF" RULE

1. n fraza la viitor dup if nu se pune viitorul ci prezentul dar se traduce cu viitorul
FUTURE - IF - PRESENT

You will know if you learn - tu vei ti dac vei nva
You will not know if you don't learn - tu nu vei ti dac nu vei nva
Will you know if you learn ? - vei ti tu dac vei nva ?


2. n fraza la condiional dup if nu se pune condiionalul ci trecutul dar se traduce cu
condiionalul
CONDITIONAL - IF - PAST TENSE

You would know if you learnt - tu ai ti dac ai nva
You would not know if you did not learn - tu nu ai ti dac nu ai nva
Would you know if you learnt ? - ai ti tu dac ai nva ?

3. n fraza la condiional trecut dup if nu se pune condiionalul trecut ci mai mult ca
perfectul ( past perfect ) dar se traduce cu condiionalul trecut
PAST CONDITIONAL - IF - PAST PERFECT

You would have known if you had learnt - tu ai fi tiut dac ai fi nvat
You would not have known if you had not learnt - tu nu ai fi tiut dac nu ai fi
nvat
Would you have known if you had learnt ? - ai fi tiut tu dac ai fi nvat ?

Uneori "when" acioneaz dup regula lui "if" :
