Adolescena este o perioad de dezvoltare cuprins ntre vrsta pubertii i cea adult caracterizat prin
modificri considerabile att n plan psihologic, ct i n plan fizic;
Identitatea dup Erikson este simul subiectiv reconfortant al constanei n timp i al continuitii;
Sexualitatea - totalitatea nsuirilor morfologice, fiziologice i psihologice care caracterizeaz sexele i
fenomenul sexual;
Tranziii cognitive trecere de la un tip de funcionare cognitiv la un altul;
Consum de substane utilizarea unui drog sau a unei substane pentru a obine plcere sau pentru a
mbunti performana sau activitatea;
Gndire postformal tip de gndire specific adolescentului caracterizat prin capacitate de a integra
eficient conceptele, flexibilitate i reflecie asupra performanei proprii;
Tranziie - trecere (lent sau brusc) de la o stare la alta, de la o situaie, de la o idee la alta
Cstorie - uniune legal, liber consimit ntre un brbat i o femeie pentru ntemeierea unei familii;
Munc - activitate contient (specific omului) ndreptat spre un anumit scop, n procesul creia omul
efectueaz, reglementeaz i controleaz prin aciunea sa schimbul de materii dintre el i natur pentru
satisfacerea trebuinelor sale;
Asumpii disfuncionale structuri cognitive de tipul ateptrilor care au un caracter nerealist;
Criz - tensiune, moment de mare depresiune sufleteasc, zbucium;
Mecanisme de adaptare proces psihic prin care persoana face fa unor solicitri care depesc nivelul
obinuit de funcionare;
Rspuns la stres - raspuns nespecific la un agent stresant;
Gerontologie - tiina care urmrete s explice mecanismele mbtrnirii;
mbtrnire - ansamblu de transformri care afecteaz ultima perioad a vieii (sinonim: senescen).
