PREZENTUL PERFECT CONTINUU

(THE PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS)

Exprim:
1) o aciune care a nceput n trecut, s-a desfurat pe o perioad ndelungat
de timp/fr ntrerupere pn n prezent i pare a continua i n viitor ;
e.g. I have been waiting for this moment for many years.
The baby has been sleeping since early morning.
2) o aciune care a nceput n trecut, a avut o perioad relativ lung de
desfurare/caracter nentrerupt i tocmai s-a terminat.
e.g. The policeman thinks you have been overspeeding.
n ceea ce privete construcia acestui timp verbal, modelul const n:
AFIRMATIV

SUBIECT + HAVE/HAS BEEN + VB-ing

e.g.I have been reading all morning.
She has been sleeping since I left.

INTEROGATIV (inversarea subiectului cu primul verb auxiliar have/has)

Ex) Has he been reading long ?
Have you been waiting for me ?
NEGATIV (adugarea adverbului not dup primul verb auxiliar have/has)
e.g. Mother has not/hasnt been watching TV.
I have not/havent been driving fast.
Prezentul perfect simplu pune accentul pe rezultatul aciunii, n vreme ce
prezentul perfect continuu pe continuitatea/caracterul de durat al acesteia.
Cel din urm este mult mai pregnant simit ca timp cu caracter prezent.

n traducere, prezentul perfect continuu echivaleaz, aproape fr

excepie n limba romn, prezentul indicativului.
e.g.The baby has been crying for over one hour. = Copilaul plnge de
mai bine de o or.
Have you been waiting long? = Atepi de mult timp?
