Lunile au trecut, in acest timp conspiratorii si armatele lor au fost urmariti pana in
Asia Minor.
nobil Roman dintre toti. Ordinea a fost restabilita si cel mai important, imperiul Roman a

An I
The play opens with the entry of Marullus and Flavius who interrupt a group of
citizens celebrating the victory of Julius Caesar after the war. Victoria is celebrated
through the public games of Caesar's friend Mark Antonio. On his way to the arena, Julius
Caesar is warned of a strain that tells him "Beware of the ideas of March", but they do not
take this warning seriously.
Marcus Brutus (a close friend of Caesar) and Cassius (Caesar's old political
enemy) will set up a plan to kill Caesar because he is afraid he will accept the status of
emperor. Cassius convinces Brutus to listen to his plan and he accepts: Caesar will be
killed in the Senate Chambers. After the meeting, Brutus's wife, Portia feels that
something bad will happen and she fears for hes safety. Brutus promises to reveal it all
later.
On March 15th, Caesar is asked not to go to the Senate by his wife Calphurnia,
who had strange dreams about he's death. However, Caesar does not listen, is stabbed
and dies when Brutus gives him the final blow.
At the Caesar's funeral, Brutus holds a speech in which he says it was anecessary
evil and should have been done. The world believes him because he was Caesar's best
friend. After Brutus's speech, Mark Antony appears and uses Brutus's words to turn the
crowd against him.
Months pass, while their conspirators and their armies have been traced to Asia
Minor. Cassius and Brutus want to meet Mark Antony, Lepidus and Octavius in a last
fight. In the begining, the conspirators seem to have an edge, but at a time of confusion,
Cassius thinks everything is lost and killing himself. Conspirators invade the armies of
Cassius and Brutus. Brutus can not cope with humiliation and suicide.
Finally, Mark Antonio holds an eulogy at Brutus's tomb, calling him "the most noble
Roman of them all". The Order was restored and, most importantly, the Roman Empire
was preserved.
