Prevenirea dopajului

prezentat primele revizuiri ale UE ale Codului mondial antidoping.
DOPING
The profile, pressures, prestige and potential financial rewards of professional sport
are among the key factors leading to doping in sports teams and top-level events.
There are a number of factors that lead to doping in top sports teams and events.
The profile, pressures, prestige and potential financial rewards of professional sport
are among them. The Commission is working with Member States to develop
initiatives to coordinate national, regional and local actions focused on doping in
sport. Negative effects Doping is not limited to professionals. Amateurs and
recreational athletes are increasingly tempted to use performance-enhancing drugs.
Doping has been linked to serious health problems and even premature death
among individual sports professionals. It also negatively affects the profitability and
sponsorship of sporting events and teams. Doping in sport seriously undermines the
principles of open and fair competition. It harms public perception of sport and
demotivates participants. Doping prevention Traditionally, anti-doping policies have
been primarily concerned with testing and sanctions. However, there is a growing
awareness in the EU that such rules and programs need to be backed up by greater
efforts to prevent a prodoping culture. Education and prevention try to target a wider
audience, not just top-level competitive athletes. Moreover, deterrence is not the only
means by which doping can or should be avoided. Research shows the vital role that
coaches, coaches, support staff, colleagues and parents play in anti-doping. The role
of EU policies is crucial in supporting an anti-doping culture in sport. Interinstitutional
cooperation The anti-doping campaign is also a priority in the Erasmus + sport
program. Other stakeholders with whom the Commission maintains regular contact
include: Member States Council of Europe World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) The
European Council has also been widely involved in doping talks at EU level. Already
in the framework of the Sports Work Plan 2011-2014, the Council launched a group
of EU anti-doping experts. This group presented the first EU revisions of the World
Anti-Doping Code. Since 2009, DG EAC has supported anti-doping projects. Anti-
doping is also included as a top priority in the Erasmus + Sport program. The future
of anti-doping The Commission and the Member States are working to ensure that all
rules and procedures related to the new World Anti-Doping Code comply with EU
law. The code is accompanied by the EU's vision of an anti-doping system for
athletes. The Commission continues to support efforts to combat doping in sport
through the Erasmus + program. Working in cooperation with the Council of Europe
and WADA, the Commission is working to further address key issues in the fight
against doping - including athletes' rights, best practice guidelines and more. The
Commission will evaluate with these partners the study on the fight against anabolic
steroids, human growth hormones and banned sports in June 2021 and will follow
this study.
