ENR 5.1 PROHIBITED, RESTRICTED AND DANGER AREAS 1. General The airspace in which a potential hazard to aircraft operations may exist and the areas within which the operation of civil aircraft may be, for one reason or another, restricted either temporarily or permanently, are classified in three categories of areas, as defined by ICAO: DANGER AREA An airspace of defined dimensions within which activities dangerous to the flight of aircraft may exist at specified times. The purpose of the creation of a danger area is to caution operators or pilots of aircraft about the existing danger, having in view their responsibility for the safety of their aircraft. PROHIBITED AREA An airspace of defined dimensions within which the flight of aircraft is prohibited. This term is used when the flight of civil aircraft within the designated airspace is not permitted at any time under any circumstances. RESTRICTED AREA An airspace of defined dimensions within which the flight of aircraft may be carried out only under certain specified conditions. Each area is as small as practicable and contained within simple geometrical limits such as a circle, square, etc. 2. Area designation Each (danger, prohibited and restricted) area is designated using two groups of letters and a number:

ENR 5.1 ZONE INTERZISE, RESTRICIONATE I PERICULOASE 1. Generaliti Poriunile de spaiu aerian n care pot exista pericole pentru aeronave i zonele n interiorul crora zborurile aeronavelor civile pot, pentru un motiv oarecare, s fie supuse restriciilor provizorii sau permanente sunt clasificate n trei categorii de zbor, conform definiiilor OACI, dup cum urmeaz: ZONA PERICULOAS Poriunea de spaiu aerian de dimensiuni definite n interiorul creia se desfoar n timpul unor perioade definite activiti periculoase pentru zborul aeronavelor. Stabilirea unei zone periculoase are drept scop s avertizeze pe deintorii de aeronave i pe piloii aeronavelor despre pericolul existent, avndu-se n vedere responsabilitatea lor n ceea ce privete securitatea zborurilor. ZONA INTERZIS Poriunea de spaiu aerian de dimensiuni definite n limitele creia zborul aeronavelor este interzis. Aceast denumire este utilizat numai atunci cnd zborurile aeronavelor civile n spaiul aerian astfel desemnat sunt interzise pe tot timpul i toate mprejurrile. ZONA RESTRICIONAT Poriunea de spaiu aerian de dimensiuni definite n limitele creia zborul aeronavelor se poate executa numai n anumite condiii specificate. ntinderea fiecrei zone este redus ct mai mult posibil, iar limitele sunt asemntoare figurilor geometrice simple: cerc, ptrat, etc. 2. Identificarea zonelor Fiecare zon (interzis, reglementat sau periculoas) este identificat prin doua grupuri de litere i un numr:
