Speak about psalms, in general and Psalm 50, in

particular (their author, reason for the

writing)

Psalmii reprezintă o parte a Bibliei ebraice constituită din 150 de poeme în

proză. Continutul psalmilor este de rugäciune și cintare,Psalmi au un rol important
in Liturgia Evreascä cât si in creștinism.
Tradiția religioasă afirma ca psalmii sunt scrisi de regele David dar în
realitate se pare că sunt mai mulți autori. Psalmii vindecă rănile cele vechi ale
sufletului şi aduce cât se poate de grabnic însănătoşirea celui de curând rănit.
Psalmul este liniștea sufletelor, răsplătitorul păcii, potolitorul gălăgiei și al
valurilor gândurilor; el face să slăbească mânia sufletului și înfrânează pornirea
către patimi; este tovarășul prieteniei, apropierea celor care stau departe, ca unul
care împacă pe cei ce-și poartă vrajmașie. Psalmul este alungătorul demonilor,
aducătorul ajutorului îngeresc, armă pentru teama de noapte, liniște pentru
oboseala zilei, pavăză și mângaierea oamenilor credincioși, iar pentru femeile
credincioase, una din cele mai potrivite podoabe. Psalmul face ca pustiurile să se
arate locuite și patimile să fie înfrânate. Început pentru începători, el este creștere
pentru cei care propășesc pe calea virtuții și sprijin pentru cei care merg pe calea
desăvârșirii.
Psaltirea unită cu postul și smerenia sunt cele mai puternice arme împotriva

Psalmul 50 este unul dintre cei 7 psalmi penitențiali ai prorocului David,
este o creație literară de o profunzime excepțională, care surprinde în amănunt
starea degradată a omului căzut în păcat, dar și pocăința pe care acesta este dator să
o facă, pentru a restabili legătura cu Dumnezeu.
În fiecare psalm poţi întâlni chemări însufleţitoare către Dumnezeu. Psalmii,
grupați în catisme sau luați în parte, sunt prezenți în toate slujbele bisericești.

prose. The content of the psalms is formed by prayers and hymns. The Psalms have
an important role in the Jewish Liturgy as well as in Christianity.
Religious tradition states that the Psalms are written by King David, but in
reality it seems that there are several authors. The Psalms heal the old wounds of
the soul and bring the healing of the newly wounded as soon as possible.
The psalm is the peace of souls, the bringer of peace, the appeaser of noise
and waves of thought; it weakens the anger of the soul and restrains the tendency
to addiction; he is the companion of friendship, the approach of those who stand
far away, as one who reconciles those who bear enmity. The psalm is the repellent
of demons, the bearer of angelic help, a weapon against the fear of the night, peace
for the weariness of the day, a shield and comfort for faithful people, and for
faithful women, one of the most suitable adornment. The psalm makes the deserts
look inhabited and the passions restrained. Beginning for beginners, it is growth
for those who prosper in the way of virtue and support for those who walk on the
way of perfection.
Psalter combined with fasting and humility are the most powerful weapons
against the devils. Psalms are part of Holy Scripture, we can read them at any time.
The psalms contains 150 psalms, which have been divided into 20 catechisms for
reading in worship. Devils are afraid of psalms because whoever prays with psalms
burns the devils like a flaming sword.
The 50th Psalm is one of the 7 penitential psalms of the prophet David, it is
a literary creation of exceptional depth, which captures in detail the degraded state
of the fallen man, but also the repentance he is obliged to make, to restore the
connection with God.
In each psalm you can find invigorating calls to God. The psalms, grouped
in catechisms, or taken separately, are present in all church ceremonies.
