- Parlamentul este: a) bicameral la nivel federal
b) unicameral la nivel provincial si local
II. Structura autoritatii
1) Autoritatea juridica
- in Canada exista doua sisteme de legi: -legea penala
-legea civila
- Guvernul federal si provincial sunt responsabile pentru administrarea Curtilor
- Provinciile detin puterea exclusiva asupra administrarii justitiei in teritoriul care le apartine
- Guvernul federal desemneaza si plateste judecatorii curtilor superioare din provincii
- Cea mai inalta curte este Curtea Suprema a Canadei
2) Autoritatea legislativa
- fundamentarea legilor ramane in competenta Guvernului
- Corpul Legislativ este format din Parlamentul Canadei, in care au autoritate legislativa trei
componente: a) regina
b) Senatul Canadei
c) Camera Comunelor
- in Canada exista aproximativ 30 de comitete parlamentare care au rolul de a reduce timpul
de dezbatere din plen
3) Autoritatea executiva
- in Canada exista trei niveluri la care se exercita autoritatea executiva:
a) nivel superior de catre Guvernul federal (central)
b) nivel mediu(provincial) de catre Guvernul provinciilor canadiene
c) nivel inferior(local) de catre guvernele locale
