 n zona Oradea-Salca au fost descoperite complexe de locuire din epoca bronzului (sec. XV-XII . Cr.). Regele Ladislau (1077-1095) nfiineaz Episcopia romano-catolic de Oradea, cu sediul n interiorul cetii de pmnt a Oradiei, acesta fiind centrul Comitatului Bihor din cadrul Regatului Ungariei. n 1113 apare pentru prima dat menionat toponimul Oradea Varadinum , ntr-o diplom a abaiei din Zbor. n 1201 un document papal menioneaz existena unei numeroase populaii ortodoxe n Bihor. Oradea i Bihorul au fost serios afectate de marea invazie ttar din anul 1241. ntre 1660-1692 Oradea i Bihorul se afl sub dominaia turcilor (Paalcul de Oradea). n 1692 Oradea i Bihorul trec sub stpnirea Imperiului Habsburgic. Din 1852 se introduce iluminatul stradal cu felinare (combustibilul era petrolul), primele 25 de lmpi fiind montate n Piaa Unirii (Piaa Mic). n 1860, prin unificarea administrativ a aezrilor Velena, Olosig, Subcetate i Oraul Nou, se creaz Oradea Mare. n 1870 Oradea este ridicat la rangul de municipiu n cadrul Imperiului AutroUngar. n 1873, n Oradea, s-a trecut la iluminatul stradal cu gaz lampant. ntre anii 1902-1903 se construiete actuala Primrie (arh. Rimanczy Klmn junior). n 1903, n Oradea, se trece la iluminatul stradal cu curent electric i se construiete Uzina Electric. n luna martie a anului 1906 pornesc la drum primele tramvaie din Oradea, iar la mijlocul lunii mai omnibusurile pe ruta Piaa Unirii - Bile Felix. n 1906 se construiete prima reea de canalizare n Oradea. n 1913 se ncepe asfaltarea primelor strzi ale municipiului, dup ce n a doua parte a secolului al XIX-lea ele au fost pietruite. 1924 - 1925 se amenajeaz Piaa Unirii (arhitect Duiliu Marcu) n noul stat Romnia

Scurt istorie

 In the area Oradea-Salca there were discovered dwelling complexes from the Bronze Age (15th-12th century BC) King Ladislau (1077-1095) establishes the Oradea Roman-Catholic Bishopric with the head quarters within the fortress of Oradea, this being the centre of the Bihor Committee within the Kingdom of Hungary In 1113 is for the first time mentioned the toponym Oradea Varadinum in a diploma from the Zbor Abbacy In 1201 a papal document mentions the existence of a numerous Orthodox population in Bihor Oradea and Bihor County were serious affected by the great Tatar invasion from 1241 Between 1660-1692 Oradea and Bihor County are under the Turk domination (the Oradea Pasalic) In 1692 Oradea and Bihor go under the Hapsburg Empire From 1852 it is introduced the street lightening with street lamps (the fuel was the petroleum), the first 25 lamps were mounted in Unirii Square (Small Square) In 1860 through the administrative union of Velenta, Olosig, Under-the-Fortress and the New City, the Great Oradea is created In 1870 Oradea is given the rank of Municipality within the Austrian-Hungarian Empire In 1873 in Oradea one started to use gas for the street lightening Between 1902-1903 the Oradeas today city hall is built (by architect Rimanczy Klmn Jr) In 1903 one uses electricity for the street lightening 1903 the Power Plant is built 1906 first tram lines 1906 first water/ waste water network In 1906 the first tramway lines are built and also the first sewerage network In 1913 the first streets of the city are paved with asphalt Between 1924 - 1925 the Piata Unirii (Union Square) is arranged by architect Duiliu Marcu

 Szalka-Nagyvrad krnykn a bronzkorbl szrmaz (Kr. e. XV-XII. Szzad) lakott terleteket trtak fel. Nagyvradon Lszl kirly (1077-1095) alaptotta meg a Rmai katolikus Pspksget, amelynek szkhelye a Nagyvradi fldvr terletn bell helyezkedett el, ami egyben a Magyar Kirlysg Bihari Vrmegyjnek a kzpontja is volt. 1113-ban talljuk az els rsos megemlkezst Nagyvrad-Varadinum helynv alatt egy Zbor-i aptsgi oklevlben. 1241-ben a tatrjrs jelentsen rnyomta blyegt Nagyvrad s Bihar krnykre. 1660 s 1692 kztt Nagyvrad s Bihar trk fennhatsg al tartozott (Nagyvradi Trk tartomny). 1692-ben Nagyvrad s Bihar a Habsburg Birodalom uralma al kerlt. 1852-tl az utckat mr lmpkkal vilgtjk (ezekhez hasznlt zemanyag petrleum), az els 25 lmpt az Unirii tren lltottk fel. 1858 prilis 4.-n futott be az els vonat a vradi llomsra. 1860-ban Velence, Olaszi, Vralja s jvros teleplsek kzigazgatsi egyestst kveten jtt ltre Nagyvrad. 1870-ben Nagyvrad az Osztrk-Magyar Birodalom keretn bell trvnyhatsgi jog muncipiumi rangot kapott. 1873-ban az utcai vilgtsra mr gzt hasznltak Nagyvradon. 1887-ben ltestettk a tvrllomst, 1898-tl jjel-nappal mkdtt. 1888 prilis elsejn a telefont Rth Jnos lltotta fel, 18 elfizetvel. 1894-96 kztt pl meg a vros vzvezetk hlzata. 1902 s 1903 kztt plt a mai Polgrmesteri hivatal (Ifj. Rimnoczy Klmn ptsz). 1903-ban az utck kivilgtsa elektromos energira cserldik, megpl a villanytelep. 1906 mrciusban indultak el az els villamosok, mjus kzepn pedig az omnibuszok a mai Unirii (Szent Lszl) tr s a Flixfrd kztt. 1906-tl elektromos izzlmpkkal trtnik meg az utck kivilgtsa. 1913-ban kezdtk el vrosunk utcinak aszfaltozst. 1924 s 1925 kztt az Egyesls tere (Piaa Unirii) megkapja a mai formjt (Duiliu Marcu pitsz)
