ACTIVITY 1: Warm up (1 min)
Aim:
To introduce the students to the topic and activate prior knowledge
Task: Teacher elicits students prior knowledge of If clauses and music by mentioning some titles of songs
containing if clauses.
Task 1: Pre-listening
The students are asked to listen carefully to the song and note down a sentence containing a condition
Timing: 1 minute

Task 3: Listening
The Students listen to the song, noting down a conditional clause
Timing: 4 minutes

Task 4: Post-listening:
The students are asked to write on the blackboard the sentence they have identified and the theacher will
help them to identify the structure of the first type of conditional clause.
Timing: 5 min
