ACTIVITY 1: Warm up (1 min)
Aim:
To introduce the students to the topic and activate prior knowledge
Task: Teacher elicits students prior knowledge of If clauses and music by mentioning some titles of songs
containing if clauses.

ACTIVITY 2: Listening (7 mins)

Aim: :
To provide students a familiar context to identify the structures of the conditional sentences.
To offer listening practice.

Task 1: Pre-listening
The students are asked to listen carefully to the song and note down a sentence containing a condition
Timing: 1 minute
Interaction: T-SS

Task 3: Listening
The Students listen to the song, noting down a conditional clause
Timing: 4 minutes
Interaction: T-SS

Task 4: Post-listening:
The students are asked to write on the blackboard the sentence they have identified and the theacher will
help them to identify the structure of the first type of conditional clause.
Timing: 5 min
Interaction: T-SS

Based on the sentence the teacher wrote on the blackboard, the students are asked to identify the structure
