Irreversibly seduced by this concise
type of traditional Japanese poetry, transfigured and adapted to the Romanian
singularity, the young poet Sebastian
Golomoz has decided to make a brief
demonstration of virtuosity and subtlety
with this volume, where he has gathered the
most representative productions of this kind,
suggesting the ineffable, the beauty of
creation that comes from inside ourselves
and makes a shelter in the souls prone to
sensitiveness and purity of the most
widespread feeling in the world. And which
is happily wrapped up in the garments of
Poetry.
Could have Sebastian Golomoz found
his own code of love? A code of love in
general or of that unique one, perhaps met
once in a lifetime, whom you stay devoted to?
These are questions to which the young
Sebastian Golomoz tries a poetic answer.

Codul Iubirii

i nu ntmpltor, poetul i ncepe

desfurarea acestui florilegiu cu un haiku
impresionant: facerea lumii - / atestatul de poet
/ al lui Dumnezeu. Splendid definiie n
ecuaia uman a Divinitii.
Temele sale fac parte din acele categorii
fundamentale ale filozofiei: Om i
Dumnezeu, Patrie, Cer, Lacrim, ngeri,
Univers, Casa, Inima, Acasa inimii,
Btrnee, Iubire, (verdele vertij - / din prea
mult iubire / inima plnge); Credin
(dreapta credin - / scar ctre cer / suflet
luminat); .a.
Toate acestea prelucrate dup regulile
poeziei fixe nipone, n trei versuri, cu 17
silabe.
Pentru poet, patria cuvintelor - limba
romn - este aezat cu faa spre cer.
Dialogul dintre Om i Dumnezeu se petrece
pe fundalul unei perechi de lacrimi ntre cei
doi: Creator i creat. Este legtura cea mai
intim i cea mai puternic. Un limbaj
universal nvat nc din leagn.

The Code of Love

And it is not coincidentally that the poet

begins this florilegium with an impressive
haiku: creation of the world - / poet certificate / of
God. A splendid definition in the human
equation of Divinity.
His themes are part of those
fundamental categories of philosophy: Man
and God, Homeland, Sky, Tear, Angels,
Universe, House, Heart, Home of Heart, Old
age, Love (green vertigo - / from too much love /
the heart weeps); Faith (the right faith - /
stairway to heaven/ enlightened soul).
All these processed according to the
rules of fixed Japanese poetry, three lines,
with 17 syllables.
For the poet, the homeland of words Romanian - is placed facing the sky. The
dialogue between Man and God takes place
on the background of a pair of tears between
the two ones: the Creator and the created. It is
the most intimate and the strongest
relationship. A universal language taught
ever since cradle.

sunt dou cri necitite / din scoar-n scoar.
De observat ineditul abordrii, contrar
conceptelor i afirmaiilor cunoscute din
literatur, din folclor, din toate formele artei.
i iat ce frumos se desfoar Codul
iubirii n accepiunea lui Sebastian Golomoz:
codul iubirii - /tandreea fluturilor / la ea acas.
O art poetic la fel de inedit este
surprins n micropoemul: ars poetica - /
poezie matur / n vers juvenil. Se pare c pe
Sebastian Golomoz nu-l deranjeaz
ngrdirile legate de forma poemelor,
dispunerea lor n cte 5-7-5 silabe, absena
metaforelor sau a verbelor, regulile scrise i
nescrise ale poeziei tradiionale nipone,
acurateea lor fiind foarte greu de atins de
poeii contemporani, sedui de versul alb,
orchestrat amplu, fr rim sau cu rim
ntmpltoare, fr msur i uneori, cu sens
ambiguu sau fr sens. Poezia haiku este
bazat pe sugestie, pe imagine, pe inefabil.

In the author's view, the elders alone are

two books unread / from cover to cover.
We should notice the novelty of the
approach, contrary to the concepts and
assertions known from literature, folklore,
from all art forms.
And this is how beautiful the Code
of love is in Sebastian Golomoz's view:
code of love - / butterflies' tenderness/ at its
place.
Such a novel poetics is captured in the
micro-poem: ars poetica - / mature poetry / in
juvenile verse. It seems that Sebastian
Golomoz does not mind the restrictions
related to the form of poems, their
arrangement in 5-7-5 syllables each, without
metaphors or verbs, the written and
unwritten rules of traditional Japanese
poetry, their accuracy being very difficult to
achieve by contemporary poets, seduced by
blank verse, amply orchestrated, without
rhyme or with random rhyme, without
measure and sometimes with ambiguous
meaning or meaningless. Haiku is based on
suggestion, on image, on ineffable.

Este o poezie de atmosfer, o poezie de

impact imediat. O poezie fireasc i fluent,
att de fireasc nct nate minunri, cum de
nu s-a gndit nimeni la acest lucru. Aceasta
de fapt, este Arta Poetic a haiku-ului.
Autorul de fa se strduiete s
respecte canoanele acestei specii poetice cu
care romnii nu prea au avut de-a face, dar pe
care au ncercat-o pn i cei mai mari poei,
cum e Nichita Stnescu, adaptndu-le
specificului limbii noastre. Ex. m muc un
cine / ah, privesc prin el / ca printr-o fereastr.
Sau: tristeea mea aude / nenscuii cini / pe
nenscuii oameni cum i latr (Cntec).
Pentru Sebastian Golomoz, sfnta
singurtate este propice creaiei: intimitate sfnta singurtate / nscnd opere. E ntradevr, o art fr cusur, s gseti expresia
cea mai potrivit i cea mai sintetic pentru a
exprima o stare. De obicei, autorii caut s se
explice i se pierd ntr-un vrtej de cuvinte
care-i absorb, nvlmind ideile i imaginile.
Haiku-ul este o poezie a imaginii blitz, o
strfulgerare i o mperechere de cuvinte,
aparent fr nicio legtur ntre ele.

The Code of Love

A natural and flowing poetry, so natural

that it begets wonders, how come that no one
has thought of this? This is actually the Haiku
Poetics.
The author strives to comply with the
canons of this poetic species that Romanians
have hardly had anything to do with, but
tried by the greatest poets, such as Nichita
Stnescu, adapting them to the features of
our language. For example: a dog bites me /
oh, I look through it / as through a window. Or:
my sadness hears / the unborn dogs / barking at
the unborn humans (Song).
For Sebastian Golomoz, the holy
solitude is propitious to creation: privacy - /
holy solitude / begetting creations. It is indeed
a flawless art to find the most appropriate
and synthetic way to express a mood.
Usually, authors seek to explain themselves
and get lost in a whirl of words which absorb
them, cluttering ideas and images.
Haiku is a poetry of flash image, a flash
and pairing of words, apparently with no
connection between them.

Altfel, cum s spui n 17 silabe, o
poveste, cnd cuvintele de nestvilit i
continu fr rgaz invazia irepresibil?
Una din autoarele care s-a remarcat n
ultimii ani, n acest gen de poeme, deloc
simplu, Ana Urma, scria despre haiku: este
de fapt rememorarea unei clipe transpus n
imagine. (Ploaie de var, haiku, Editura
PIM, Iai, 2015). Ceea ce este perfect adevrat.
Interesant n acest micu poem numit
haiku este valorificarea fiecrui cuvnt, a
fiecrei silabe, schimbarea lor nsemnnd
schimbarea semnificaiei. Orice autor trebuie
s mearg, atunci cnd scrie haiku, la esena
cuvntului, s-i descopere toate sensurile i
s-l aleag pe cel mai bun. Altfel spus, fiecare
cuvnt devine o poveste care nate alte
poveti. Fiecare cuvnt cuprinde o infinitate
de alte cuvinte. Ce interesant ar fi dac s-ar
gsi un autor care s scrie istoria cuvintelor!

And this feature best expresses the

ineffable.
Otherwise, how can you tell a story in 17
syllables, when unrestrained words
relentlessly continue their irrepressible
invasion?
One of the authors who have
distinguished themselves in recent years in
this kind of poetry which is not at all simple,
Ana Urma, wrote about haiku: it is actually
the recall of a moment translated into image.
(Summer Rain, haiku, PIM Publishing-house,
Iai, 2015). That is perfectly true.
In this little poem called haiku we find
interesting the valuing of every word, of
every syllable, their change meaning
changing their significance. When writing
haiku, any author must go to the word
essence in order to discover all meanings and
choose the best one. In other words, every
word becomes a story which begets other
stories. Each word contains an infinity of
other words. How interesting it would be if
we found an author to write the history of
words!

Dei nu ar ajunge o via s termini

aceast imens lucrare.
Sebastian Golomoz este un suflet
frumos, delicat. Delicateea i romantismul
lui au generat cri de versuri. Iubirea,
sentimentul cel mai luminos i-a gsit
expresia fericit n poemele sale.
El caut n tot mprejurul dar i n sine,
frumuseea i puritatea. i cnd le gsete, le
trece prin filtrul propriei sensibiliti, le
poteneaz nelesul, le transfigureaz n
vers, fie clasic, fie modern i iat, acum, n
poezie tradiional japonez, adic n alte
modaliti de exprimare artistic. Ceea ce e
remarcabil.
Dei subire, volumul este mbogit i
nsutit n sensuri i modaliti de comunicare
i transmitere a mesajului pentru c fiecare
poem are un mesaj, fie el i despre
frumuseea naturii sau a omului nsui.
Iat un portret admirabil care sugereaz
tristeea btrneii: ochi de lumin - / lacrim
neleapt / pe chipul ridat.

The Code of Love

Although a lifetime would not be

enough to finish this work.
Sebastian Golomoz is a beautiful and
gentle soul. His gentleness and romance have
begotten books of poetry. Love, the brightest
feeling, has found a happy expression in his
poems. All around him and inside himself, he
looks for beauty and purity. And when he
finds them, he passes them through the filter
of his own sensitiveness, he enhances their
meaning, turns them into verse, either classic
or modern and now in traditional Japanese
poetry, i.e. in other ways of artistic
expression. And that is remarkable.
Although thin, the volume is enriched
hundredfold in meanings and means of
communication and transmission of message
because each poem has a message, be it about
the beauty of nature or of the human being
himself.
Here is an admirable portrait that
suggests the sadness of old age eye of light - /
wise tear / on the wrinkled face.

Despre acest portret s-ar fi putut scrie

pagini ntregi, dar autorul a ales aceast
form sumar care spune de fapt, totul i las
loc i imaginaiei s lucreze.
O anume vibraie interioar se simte n
fiecare poem, silabele vorbesc de la sine. ns
dramatismul nu e patetic, declarat, ci cuprins
ntr-o expresie succint, eliptic de verb.
Haiku-ul nu ip, nu strig, nu face zgomot,
doar cheam n tcere, o chemare persistent
ca un dor fr saiu.
Iat acest sentiment cum e dezvluit:
srut pe suflet - / un inel de logodn /
inestimabil.
Sugestia maternitii concretizat ntr-o
rodie mucat de mam este, de asemenea,
admirabil: sursul mamei - / mucnd dintr-o
rodie / o nou via.
Fluente i graioase, aceste micropoeme
mai au nc un dram de terestritate, ca o
sfoar de zmeu inut ntr-un pumn de copil.
Cnd i va da drumul, nimic nu va opri
zborul n azurul poeziei.

Whole pages could have been written

about this portrait, but the author has chosen
this concise form which actually tells
everything and lets imagination work.
A certain inner vibration is felt in every
poem, syllables speak for themselves. But the
dramatism is not pathetic, declared, but
contained in a succinct expression, with verb
ellipsis. The Haiku does not scream, does not
cry, does not make noise, just calls quietly, a
persistent call with an insatiable longing.
This is how this feeling is revealed: kiss
on the soul - / a priceless / engagement ring.
The maternity suggestion materialized
in a pomegranate bitten by mother is also
admirable: mother's smile - / biting off a
pomegranate /a new life.
Fluent and graceful, these micro-poems
still have a bit of terrestrial feature, like a kite
string held in a child's fist. When he lets it go,
nothing will stop its fly to the azure of poetry.

Tainica legtur dintre prini i copii

este prezent n mai multe poezii: sfaturi
printeti - / icoane de lumin / pentru mai
trziu; surs de copil - / sub ochii prinilor / un
rai pe pmnt; btrna din col - / cu umerii
ncercai / i poart umbra, sentimentul
frustrant al lipsei de dragoste matern: cu
snge rece - / bebelu abandonat / n gura nopii;
.a.
Dar i meditaii poetice despre cosmos,
infinit, cer i pmnt: opt orizontal - / ntre
pmnt i vzduh / ochiul gndului. Iat i o
imagine foarte interesant: pete cu buric - /
vector de emoie / creierul apei. Sau aceasta:
ap de suflet - / n batista albastr / roze
nflorind.
Dac autorul s-a strduit din punct
de vedere tehnic s potriveasc silabele
conform canonului japonez, se poate spune
c a respectat i celelalte specificiti necesare
alctuirii unei astfel de poezii.

The Code of Love

The mysterious connection between

parents and children is present in several
poems: fatherly advice - / icons of light / for a
later time; child smile - / before parents' eyes /
heaven on earth; the old woman from the corner
- / with burdened shoulders / carries her shadow,
the frustrating feeling of lack of maternal
love: with cold blood - / baby abandoned / in the
mouth of night, a.o.
But also poetic meditations about
cosmos, infinity, heaven and earth:
horizontal eight - / between earth and air / the eye
of thought. Here is a very interesting image:
fish with navel - / emotion vector / brains of
water. Or this one: water of soul - / in the blue
handkerchief / roses blooming.
If the author has striven from a
technical point of view to match the syllables
according to the Japanese canon, one can say
that he has also complied with the other
peculiarities required for composing such
poems.
